We’ve all been there– standing in the door of the fridge or pantry, red-faced as we try to turn the lid of a jar that JUST. WON’T. BUDGE! Well, there’s a gadget for that! This easy-to-attach, under the cabinet Jar Opener is the perfect addition to your kitchen. It takes up little-to-no space and can be used to open jars and bottles of all sizes. Long gone are the days of sore hands and frustrations over stuck lids!
Trying to pour something into a ziplock bag can be frustrating. You always seem to need another hand to hold the bag and get everything in there without spilling it everywhere. These bag holders are the perfect solution to that problem. They’re adjustable so they can hold different sized bags and can be used for both regular plastic ziplock bags and reusable food storage bags.
If you’re anything like me, you love dipping a slice of crusty bread into the juice left behind after cooking a delicious roast beef. Or how about making your own gravy using the juices of a roasted turkey or chicken? The only obstacle is that layer of fat on top of the pot– the barrier between you and the mouthwatering sea of flavor that lies below the fatty surface. Consider that obstacle tackled with this bottom-release fat separator. You can now easily collect the scrumptious cooking liquid while leaving the fat behind!
“I love wrestling with tangled cords!” -Nobody. Nobody ever. Let’s be honest, if I’m taking time out of my busy day to cook or bake something that requires a small appliance to be taken out of it’s storage space, I’m not going to be in a mindset to take even more time to untangle the worms’ nest of cords that live in my lower cabinets. These cord organizers can be placed on any small appliance and will save you from that fight and enjoy trying out a new recipe.
I don’t want to stick my hands into a jar of pickles. I don’t want anyone else to stick their fingers into my jar of pickles. I’ve also spent far too much time trying to impale that elusive last green olive with a huge fork. Here’s a solution. This handy gadget can be placed around the rim of your jars to give you a built in tool to spear the jarred food and save your sanity. Perfect for your everyday jar needs, or for your next barbeque to keep everyones dirty fingers out of your pickled goods!
6. Box Grater (With Measuring Compartment and Handle)
Most of us probably have an old box grater in the back of our kitchen cupboard– Or have at least seen one hanging on the wall at the local Cracker Barrel. They’re very useful for things like cheese (obviously), potatoes, carrots, and more. They can also be messy. This is a great way to upgrade your old box grater, (“upgrate”, if you will…) to something that makes the task even easier. The attached compartment catches everything you grated and also allows for easy measuring of the ingredient and storage after. The handle is also ergonomically designed to make grating even more comfortable.
Less dishes to wash? Sign me up. This clip-on silicone strainer allows for easy straining without dirtying a separate colander.
8. Over the Sink Strainer/ Colander
Another colander? Yes. This one is expandable and fits over your sink to make it super easy to wash fruits and veggies without sitting in the bottom of your sink. It can also be used to hold food that is being thawed, or drain pasta. The holes of this colander are also small enough to allow for draining small things like rice or quinoa without losing any in the sink.
I don’t know why it took me so long to get one of these things. Cutting a vegetable in a few seconds in virtually any size piece is life changing. It makes food prep so much more simple and less cumbersome.
Okay, hear me out. Do you NEED this one? Probably not. But if this little rascal sitting on your counter looking as though he’s about to scurry off with your spoon doesn’t make you smile, then I have nothing else for you.
